Headline: 🚨 BIG MONEY REFORM: Tinubu Strips NNPCL of Billion-Dollar "Management Fees"! 💸🇳🇬

Something huge just happened in the oil sector! President Tinubu has signed Executive Order 9, and it’s going to change how Nigeria’s oil money is shared. 🧐

Here is the simple breakdown of what just happened:

🚫 No More "Hidden" Deductions: NNPCL can no longer keep the 30% "management fee" they used to take from our oil profits.

💰 Direct to the Pocket: All oil taxes, royalties, and profits will now go DIRECTLY into the Federation Account.

📉 Frontier Fund Scrapped: The 30% profit previously kept for "exploring" oil in the North (Frontier Fund) has also been stopped.

Why does this matter to YOU? Because NNPCL will no longer sit on this cash, there will be MORE MONEY for the Federal, State, and Local Governments to share every month. 🏦✨

The goal? To stop the "missing billions" and make sure the money actually reaches the people.

🗣️ LET’S TALK:

Do you believe this move will finally make our Governors work, or will the money still "disappear" at the State level? 🤷‍♂️

Headline: 🚨 BIG NEWS: Tinubu Signs New Electoral Act 2026!

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has just signed the amended Electoral Act 2026 into law. But there’s a catch that has everyone talking! 👇

What’s changing for 2027?

✅ BVAS is Law: No more manual card readers. BVAS is now the only legal way to vote.

✅ Earlier Funding: INEC gets their money 1 year before the election (No more "no budget" excuses!).

✅ Stiffer Jail Time: PVC buying/selling now carries a ₦5 million fine and 2 years in prison.

The Controversy: 🧐

The President defended keeping MANUAL result collation alongside the electronic IReV portal. He says "computers can't do everything" and we must guard against hacking.

Opponents are already asking: Is this a step forward or a way to stay in the past?

🗣️ LET’S ARGUE:

Do you trust manual results for 2027, or should we go 100% digital like other countries? 🇳🇬

Borno Govt Allocates N150 Million to Feed Sheep and Goats in Government House

The Borno State Government has set aside N150 million in its 2026 budget to cater for the feeding of sheep and goats kept within the Government House, according to a report by Sahara Reporters.

The allocation, which appears under Government House expenditure in the approved 2026 budget estimates published on the state’s official website, is listed as “General purchase of feeding for various Sheep and Goat within the Government House.”

Based on the figures, the animals are expected to consume feed worth an average of about N410,958 daily, translating to approximately N2.8 million per week, as calculated from the annual allocation.

However, the budget document does not disclose the number of sheep and goats expected to be fed with the N150 million provision.

In addition to the livestock feeding expenses, the state government also budgeted N50 million for the purchase of kitchen equipment for use within the Government House, Sahara Reporters further reported.

Billions Spent on Repentant Boko Haram Members — Sahara Reporters

According to a separate review by Sahara Reporters, the Borno State Government spent N4.3 billion in 2025 on livelihood support for so-called “repentant Boko Haram members.”

The report revealed that N1.6 billion of that amount was disbursed between October and December 2025 alone, covering just a three-month period.

In contrast, the total capital expenditure of key health institutions in the state was significantly lower. The Borno State Primary Healthcare Development Board recorded a total capital expenditure of N2 billion for the entire 2025 fiscal year — more than N2 billion less than what was spent on the reintegration programme.

Similarly, Sahara Reporters noted that the Borno State University Teaching Hospital had a capital budget of N2.7 billion, while the Hospital Management Board recorded N3.1 billion in capital expenditure — both still below the amount spent on rehabilitating former insurgents.

Security Concerns Raised by Soldiers — Sahara Reporters

An earlier Sahara Reporters investigation also revealed that between January and September 2024, the Borno State Government spent N3.45 billion under the Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR) programme for repentant Boko Haram members.

The report quoted frontline Nigerian soldiers deployed in Borno and Yobe states, who accused some government-backed repentant insurgents of leaking sensitive military information to their former commanders.

The soldiers reportedly described the policy of reintegrating repentant fighters as a “deadly mistake that continues to cost lives.”

In a tragic turn of events, Ifunanya Nwangene, a 25-year-old rising star known for her captivating stage presence as Nanyah, has left an indelible mark on the music industry with her untimely passing.

The Abuja-based classical, jazz, RnB, and soul singer reportedly succumbed to a snake bite at her residence in the early hours of the morning, leaving fans and friends in shock.
